News Top Oz contests for junior Brits

Britain's rising junior surf stars will compete in two of Australia's top surfing competition by George Mojo

30/06/2008:// Beau Broham, Jack Whitefield, Zak Lawton, Tassy Swallow and Beth Mason are entered in both the Occy Grom Comp at Duranbah and the prestigious Rusty Gromfest at Lennox Head.

The squad is being coached by one of the Uk's most influential trainers Joel Gray who has coached many of Britain's most successful competitors.

The inaugral Surf Solutions Australia Project is based at Byron Bay and as as part of the three-week trip, the five youngsters will receive coaching with the Surfing Australia High Performance Centre.

Last year, coaching sessions were held in some of the world's top surfing locations including Hawaii and France and more are planned for 2008.
