Fair Bits at Surf Film Festival by George Mojo

23/07/2005:// The UK premiere of a film featuring one of Australia's most dynamic surfers is being screened at a Devon cinema.

Fair Bits, starring Taj Burrow features in the Jack McCoy Surf Film Festival at Plymouth's ABC on August 5th.

Professional surfer Taj Burrow's was involved in every aspect of his new movie Fair Bits, including music and production.

The Malloy Brothers, Brendan and Emmett have been brought on board by Taj to produce the film. Their track record includes music videos for Jack Johnson, Metallica and the Black Eyed Peas as well as trailers for Star Wars Episode One and Ever After.

Fair Bits features the collaborative efforts of seven filmmakers from a range of different worlds and backgrounds.

It includes helicopter footage from six foot super tubes, tow in surfing to a Malaysian wave pool and a sequence with Taj, Rob Machado and Kelly Slater attempting to surf using a door, shovel, snowboard, skis, guitar case and a coffee table.

The festival also takes in London, Bournemouth, and Swansea.
