22/06/2007:// Heal the Bay, the Santa Monica Bay environmental group, are now producing a Beach Report Card, aimed at making public information about water quality and public health.
The Beach Report Card contains information about water quality for California beaches and is published both weekly and annually.
If you are travelling to Californaia this summer, then it would be well worth checking the local conditions both for swell and water quality before jumping in.
A recreational water user will be able to check for high levels of bacteria which may cause illness at that time, resulting in a public health issue.
