04/04/2005:// Rising star Stuart Campbell is to receive world-class training at a special surf camp in Northern Spain.
The Under-14's British Champion is one of four Britons being put through their paces by O'Neill team coaches Julen Elkoro and Andres Martin.
Campbell, who came through the Croyde Surf Academy, will be joined by Grom team-mates Billy Norways, 12-year-old Alex Baker and European Grom Prix winner Zoe Sheath.
Campbell attended the training camp in April last year where he received coaching alongside former British champion and Plymouth University surf club captain Sam Lamiroy and Justin Mujica, the current EPSA champion.
Mujica will be attending the sessions again this year along with Helston's British women's champion Robyn Sunshine Davies and many other top European surfers.
"The camp gives valuable training for surfers at all levels, the intensive personal training with such a highly accredited coach and such an impressive team gives an insight to your physical, technical and mental skills you wouldn't get anywhere else, even after years of pro-surfing." said Mujica.
The training was accredited Campbell and his family as the single most effective thing responsible for the vast improvement in his surfing ability allowing him to take the seventh place in the European Championships and first place in the British Championships.
Paul Wilkinson, of O'Neill UK, said "We are very proud of our current UK surf team, with so many national titles amongst them. It is a fabulous opportunity for them to undergo the training camp and we hope to see exceptional results".
