News Gul Signs Mark Harris to Surf Team

British surfer to join current team riders by Katie Drummond-Dunn

05/04/2007:// Gul is thrilled to announce the signing of top British surfer Mark “Egor” Harris to join current team riders Russell Winter and Josh Knowles. Egor has a string of successful contest results to his name including winning the BPSA UK Pro Surf Tour title in 2002. Egor ended the 2006 season exceptionally well making the final of all of the last five events on the UK Pro Tour. These successful placings saw him climb rapidly through the British rankings by the end of the year. On top of his consistent UK Pro Tour results Egor also has WQS event experience and is a member of the British Surfing squad for whom he competed at the ISA World Games in California last autumn.

This year Egor has his sights set on the BPSA UK Pro Surf Tour title as well as raising his profile on the WQS European events. The first event on his 2007 campaign will be the UK Pro Tour Saltrock Open in Croyde along with fellow Gul team riders Josh Knowles and Beth Mason.

Alongside his contests and surfing trips Egor will also work closely with the designers at Gul. He will regularly be out testing the latest wetsuits and accessories and helping to develop the technical ranges further.

Gul recognises the immense surfing talent that Egor possesses as well as the potential he has to continue onwards within the surf industry. Egor is a popular figure on the British surf scene, not one to shy away from a social outing, he his definitely a great personality and a real asset to the Gul team.
