Legendary wrestler defends the ocean
by Serge Dedina
05/04/2007:// The legendary wrestler, El HIjo del Santo , will defend the Ocean this coming year (2007) becoming WiLDCOAST's spokesperson for all the organization's campaigns.
Before him rock group Maná, the idols of norteño music Los Tigres del Norte, and star soccer players Jorge Campos and 'Kikín' Fonseca joined the conservationists as spokespersons.
No Vampires, UFOs or Martians-- this time El Hijo Del Santo will fight real predators of our Oceans, who sell sea turtle meat and eggs, the aggressive fishing industry, and pirates who fish without any permits.
The super-hero will donate his time and image for posters, postcards, comic books and other materials that WiLDCOAST gives out to promote the defense of the sea.
He will join WiLDCOAST's Clean Water Campaign in the Border region, go to San Ignacio Lagoon to pet the whales and promote land deals for conservation, he will support the creation of MPAs and he will also talk against consumption of sea turtle eggs and meat.
