News Join SAS and win tickets to Frankenreiter show

Get to see Donovan at Shepherd's Bush Empire by Richard Hardy

30/01/2007:// Surfers Against Sewage have 3 pairs of tickets to give away to see Donovan Frankenreiter play a one off London gig at Shepherd’s Bush Empire on
Saturday 17th March. If you sign up for SAS membership in February you
will be entered into a draw to win tickets to see the surfer, singer, songwriter and friend of Jack Johnson and Surfers Against Sewage play a one off London show. You can join SAS on-line at www.sas.org.uk or ring 01872 553001.

Growing up in California, Donavon's days revolved around the water and surfing. At 14 he ended up in Hawaii, renting a room at Jack Johnson's parents' home. The two became instant friends. When they weren't in the water they would learn guitar and make up songs. In 2002, Jack founded Brushfire Records. It was at this time that Donavon was stepping out musically, making it a natural pairing. Donavon's self-titled Brushfire debut was released in 2004.

Although Donavon is still revered as one of the most charismatic surfers in the world today, his focus has shifted significantly to his music. The album is about the last 10 years of Donavon's life and the love, travel, and new beginnings along the way.
