News Europe's greenest surfing festival

SAS/Aloha Cornish and Open is three weeks away by Richard Hardy

24/07/2006:// SAS/Aloha Cornish and Open – 11-13th August, Porthtowan Beach, Cornwall.

The SAS/Aloha Cornish and Open surf contest is now just 3 weeks away!

This is a contest like no other in Europe, with the campaigns of SAS at its core, the contest thrives on its eco-friendliness.

There’s plenty to do and see over for everyone over the 3 days. The surfing action will be intense and historically attracts some of the UK’s best surfers and a few travelling overseas pros.

There’s also plenty to do on the beach with face painters, puppet shows, and a fashion show this year. They’ll also be SAS beach cleans and environmental talks with our very own green superhero!

Saturday night also sees some top entertainment with band Hidden Appeal playing in the stunning Blue Bar that overlooks the contest site. We’ll be raffling off an Aloha surfboard as well so make sure your there to be in with a chance of winning!

We’re delighted to have the support of Aloha for the second year running as title sponsors and also like to thank our co sponsors The Blue Bar, Red Stripe, Pure Blue Water, Bedruthan Steps Hotel and The Surfers Path.
