News Dudley signs up

Animal get longboard champion by George Mojo

24/01/2006:// European longboard champion Elliot Dudley has signed for the UK Animal surf team for the 2006 season.

The twenty year old Welsh Longboarder has had an incredible season in which he won the British Longboard Union tour, placed second overall in the 2005 EPSA European professional Surfing Association Longboard Tour and then went on to win the European title at Costa Da Caparica in Portugal.

Elliot has signed a two year sponsorship agreement with the UK surf team.

"I'm really stoked to be riding for Animal, they've shown continuous support for all levels of British surfing. I'm looking forward to promoting the brand and helping them grow, in particular amongst the longboard community," he said.

Steve Kitchin, team manager added, "Elliot is one of the most exciting surfers to come out of the UK in many years and we are proud to welcome him to the team. In addition to supporting his competition schedule and helping him achieve his future goals we will be working closely with Elliot and expect to see him take a big part in our worldwide promotional activities"

This year, Dudley will defend his BLU title and aim to go one place higher and win the 2006 EPSA longboard championships.

He will also head stateside and enter the prestigious U.S. Open of Surfing before squeezing in some team rider workshops at the Animal Surf Academy in Polzeath.
