by Thomas Cardinal
26/08/2008:// Addiction boards: it's the state of mind, the experience, the high quality and the custom made by master craftmans in France. All the boards are delivred with a cetificate of authenticity signed by people working on each board (shaper, artist, laminator, sander, polisher). Each board is unique, each board is built exclusively for you.
History of the brand Louis Robert, founder of the Addiction label in Canada, began as a skate manufacturer, then a snowboard builder and finally turned to the world of surfing. With a passion for the retro and authentic designs, which he learnt after many years of shaping from California to Europe, he learned many different styles along the way and fused them to create this very distinct style of retro shape. His love and passion for artwork, resin tints and pinstriping, Louis Robert and Renaud Cardinal decided to join forces in 2000. The North American shaper moved to UWL Workshop, where he worked for a few years and then decided to moved back to America where his roots belong. UWL decided to continue the Addiction adventure, and the workshop took on the direction of the label. The line which developed is fresh and full of new models where the perfect finish is the priority.
