Bob Rief, COO of Boardworks has announced a major realignment of their Central Florida, Mid Atlantic and New England territories
by George Mojo
02/07/2008:// Carl Beaulac of Rainbow Distributing will assume selling and regional marketing responsibilities for Florida, except the Panhandle and parts of the Caribbean. Yancy Spencer will continue to represent Boardworks in the Florida Panhandle and Gulf States.
Brad Jones, based in the Carolinas, will represent the company in Mid Atlantic States.
Greg Weber will cover the New England territory from his base in New Jersey.
"I am pleased to get this news out to the eastern retail community," said Rief.
"Boardworks is a strong company and we are very happy with our purchase. We have great shapers, a world class manufacturer, and a cadre of believers out there at retail and in the surf community at large.
"We are now embarked on the fine-tuning that comes with change. Our mission is simple: legendary shapers; great product; limited, specialty distribution. In order to achieve our goals we have to employ sales reps who understand the challenges out in the real world of retailing. Product knowledge, specialty distribution experience, and consistent retailer support and service were our criteria; each of our new colleagues fills the bill.
"We look forward to our "new" future, and urge retailers to contact their rep to hear about the new Dealer support plan."
Boardworks is the DBA for Papa Hana LLC. Boardworks is a dedicated company charged with bringing legendary shapers together with modern TEC manufacturing, then marketing and distributing those products around the world through its global distribution network. Papa Hana is owned principally by Mike Fox, Ketchum Idaho and North Shore, Oahu, joined in the venture with the founders of C4 Waterman.
